Welcome to Professor Dan Hellbergs official homepage. Here you can find information about my group and the research projects we are involved in. Our research spans a broad field of gynecology and pediatrics, such as in vitro fertilization, urinary incontinence, child and adolescent health and gynecological cancer.
Most priority, however, is laid on research on cervical preinvasive and invasive cancer.
At present it is focused on biological methods for prognosis, and correlations between tissue tumor marker expression and co-factors in cervical cancer. We are now particularly interested in serum sex steroid hormone levels, smoking and hormonal contraceptives.
A breast cancer project is ongoing. Our research team includes specialists in different areas and several PhD students.
Links will enable details about present areas of research and previous, as well as the immediate forthcoming publications.
